Day 1: Trek from Lalibela to wedebye 5hur
After early Breakfast trek from Lalibela to Wedebye (3600m altitude) 6 hours, which gives you more outstanding panoramic views of the area. The wedebye positioned and take in 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside.
The trekking from lalibela to wedebye is not an easy comparing to your 2nd or 3rd day but the view starting 5 minute you left the city is spectacular, you will pass through few villages and farms. This will be your first day to know how local community leave in the mountains.
On your way to wadebye you will take a short break for snack at mount Hudad (3300m). here we can embark to see swarm Group of Gelada baboons (endemic to Ethiopia) and other mammals, don’t wary if there is no Gelada at the time of your brake because we will see them again at mount abune Yousef Community conservation area.
After having your lunch and short brake You can walk to one of the villages close to the wedebye and learn about the life of the local people including farming practices, cattle rearing and local traditions or walk to the children’s school to teach any subject you would like to teach . Spend the remind of the afternoon enjoying the silence of wedebye and overlooking the sunset.
At night gather around the fire not only for the cold but the local people have a lovely tradition to welcome their Gusts by washing gusts feet, of course some of our client call it (foot massage). It is common for the people in the mountain when new Gust come to their house first they will give food, then wash gusts feet and leave their bed, (of curse now they will not leave their bed for you because we have prepared privet tukul room for you)
Finally, at night local young stars will present a lovely typical traditional dance of the Highland Tribes for you, you will enjoy the live music from the young stars who will entertain you till your time to bed.
Gather around the fair with local community or you can wait outside to enjoy the silence and beautiful start and moon.

Dear 2: Trek from Wedebye to Tigu Keble
Trek to Tigu Keble (7hur), Pass through different villages and learn about local crops on different plateaus as you climb up, specular view till your reach Tigu Keble, where you
will have overnight for the next day trek to mount Abune Yousif. In the afternoon you will take a rest to prepare yourself for the next day trek to the 3rdhighest peak of Ethiopia. Depend on your interest you can walk around the village to see locals life and to learn about how to make traditional food or farm or you can walk to nearest view point to enjoy the view (you can visit local school to teach any kind of your favourite subject).

Day 3: trek to mount Abune yousef (4300m)
After having breakfast trek to the 3rd Highest peak in Ethiopia Mount Abune yousef (4300m)you will enjoy the spectacular view of mount abune yousef and different fauna and flora, visit swarm of Ghelada baboons, read fox, plenty of Birds and lots of Fauna and flora of the area… with picnic you will spend most of your day inside abune yousaf and clime till the last point of Mount abune yousef rim Gedel (4300m) let in the afternoon you will return back to Tigu Keble for overnight.

Day 4: Trek From Abune Yousef To Yimrhanne Kirstos
Trek to Yemrehane Kirstos (7hur) after lunch visit the marble churches called Yimrhanne kirstos, which predates the Lalibela churches and was built using a completely different style of construction involving marble and wood. The church is built inside a cave. Pass through different villages and learn about local crops on different plateaus, specular view till your reach the church.

Day 5: Trek from Yimrhanne kirstos to Degosach
after breakfast trek to degosach (4hur), climb the mountain village of degosch where you will find your place to stay overnight. Have your lunch and depend of your interest climb mount Ahya mewaya. Spend some time at ahya mewaya, explore the panoramic view of Ahya mewaya. Return to your camp let in the afternoon. This evening will join by local young stars from local village to entertain us trough their live traditional music. Enjoy your last night at the highland mountain by a wonderful music at the campfire under moon and stars. Learn our Ethiopian traditional dance.

Day 6: Trek from Degosach to Lalibela
trek from Degosach to Lalibela on the way visit the ancient rock hewn churches called Kenkenit Mikale this church dated back to the 6 century (6 hundred years more than the lalibela churches) the church is non visited by tourist as it is not accessible for tourists, visit ancient sculpture of the church. Have picnic lunch at bet Ambesa where we will stop to visit small coffee and vegetable farm, bête ambesa is located in the valley north east Lalibela it is one of the greener part around lalibela, by the way Bete Ambesa min (Home of Lion) after having the picnic at bête ambesa you will trek back to Lalibela.
